Fuddfest Closes

An annual celebration of Life and Friends is no more. Fuddfest has announced that the 2013 festival was their last, and there are plans to sell the Fuddfest grounds in 2014. In a letter from Molly Held, the Fuddfest Coordinator, she sites financial problems as the reason the festival will be ending, saying “We have been hurting financially for a few years and…we can no longer continue this downward spiral.” According to their website, Fuddfest began in 2003 with the Bellamy Brothers performing and has since features numerous country stars including: John Anderson, Joe Diffe, John Conlee, Blake Shelton, Sammy Kershaw, The Oak Ridge Boys, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, Diamond Rio, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers and many more. Held thanked those who had attended over the years for their support.
