Homicide charges have now been filed against the woman accused of riding drunk and causing a motorcycle crash that killed a Merrill man during the annual Tomahawk Fall Ride.
According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday September 13th, 50 year old Lynette Haman of Elkhorn was traveling south on County Road L, about nine miles north of Tomahawk, when she made a left turn in front of a northbound motorcycle operated by Benjamin Guite, Sr. Both Guite and Haman were injured in the two motorcycle crash. Guite died of his injuries five days later on September 18th.
Formal charges are expected against Haman on November 18th.
