Two Merrill teens were taken into custody on drug charges after a Deputy investigated a drug complaint in the Town of Merrill.
Just before 6:00 PM on Wednesday a Town of Merrill man phoned the Sheriff’s Office and reported he found a baggie containing pills while doing the laundry for a 15 year old Merrill girl. A Deputy went to the scene and was able to identify the pills as a controlled substance.
When the Deputy went to an address on Francis Drive in the City of Merrill he located the suspect along with 17 year old Cody Cavett. Both the juvenile suspect and Cavett admitted possession of several pre-packaged baggies of marijuana that were present at the Francis Drive home along with scales, pipes, unused baggies, and glass jars that smelled of marijuana.
The 15 year old female was transported to secure juvenile detention while Cavett was brought to the Lincoln County Jail where he was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
At a bond hearing on Thursday Cavett was released on a signature bond.
