Robert Zempel lists addresses in New London and Merrill.
There is no indication that the driver of the car was drinking prior to the crash and preliminary investigation shows that Zempel was in the roadway when he was struck. Zempel was taken to Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk where he was pronounced dead. No citations have been issued, and no arrests have been made nor are they planned.
