Eight weeks from today, Lincoln County Judge Glenn Hartley will step down from the bench.
Hartley mailed his resignation to Madison last week and asked that a replacement judge be appointed as soon as possible to maintain Lincoln County’s level of service.
Governor Walker’s office has already begun taking applications to fill the position.
In a letter to WJMT News, Hartley thanked the residents of Lincoln County, but did not say why he was resigning, stating only that it was time for his to give up his seat and “move on to other things important in my life.”
His last day on the bench will be June 10th.
