Pine River Elementary was awarded funding from Lincoln County’s ‘Beyond Crayons and Computers’ for a “Coop and Poop” project.
Many thanks to Pine River parents, Jerrod Ford and John Rydeski, for their work in securing the supplies and building the coop to this point! As part of this project, Mr. Russ Noland, 5th grade teacher, and some Pine River students and families are planning on chicken coop assembly this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Pine River Elementary School.
All Pine River families are invited to help out since ALL students will be a part of the process of composting in our lunchroom, feeding and caring for the chickens, collecting eggs, etc. The plan is to have one chicken in the coop designated for each of our K-5 classrooms.
