American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Merrill will hold a Candlelight Vigil and Solar Light Ceremony on the Courthouse lawn by the Tree of Hope. You can purchase a solar light for $5. Contact Jan Tesch at 715-722-0365 for more details.

Social Media Presentation at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Merrill Area Public Schools will be hosting Justin Patchin, a nationally known speaker and Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, who will be talking to students, parents, and community members about social media and cyberbullying. This free presentation provides a broad overview of the adolescent technological concerns, including social networking Web sites and cyberbullying. Be SAFE: Safe, Affirming & Fair Environments. Free training to those who lead youth groups of any kind. This is FREE training at the Lincoln County Service Center Assembly Room from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each group that attends will receive a free curriculum ($75 value). Please register by May 5th.
