Wisconsin State law requires districts to teach students about birth control and sexually transmitted diseases in health courses. Merrill has always taught abstinence. Superintendent Lisa Snyder says the board is exploring many options, and is holding a public hearing tonight. The meeting has been moved to the Merrill High School library and gets underway at 5:30
